PANASONIC 3DO M2 FZ-35S INTERACTIVE MEDIA PLAYER in BOX LIKE NEW
This is a boxed and complete 3DO M2 Interactive unit. This device is one the few things to come from the doomed Matsushita / 3DO M@ project on the mid 1990s. These units where the full final M2 chipset specification, with a DVD-ROM Drive, a couple of extra serial ports, and RGB monitor port and an expansion slot thrown in for good measure. 110 volt, NTSC Standard, NORTH AMERICAN FCC Certified.
As you can see from the PHOTOS, it is fully operational and includes a fully playable BETA disc of IMSA Racing from 3DO studios, which you can see running in these shots via the S-Video out. A standard 3DO controller (or a prototype M2 controller) is required to play the game. I am including a 3DO PROPAD with the machine for this purpose. Also included are the original box and instructions are included. YES FOLKS, the photos are the real deal!
3DO M2 compatible software is required. There were a couple of Auto dealer demos from GM created for these machines, along with a few other games that were in development (several arcade titles were released by Konami) before the game console was cancelled. When you consider when this system was designed (around 1996), it really was very powerful. Even in the 'BETA' form the graphics are quite smooth in IMSA Racing, and the FMV was much higher quality, and the screen resolution very high for systems of the time.
This is an ORIGINAL unit that was factory fresh when I got it and has seen very little use. It has NEVER been used in a KIOSK in any other high-stress environment.
